How-To: The Five Minute Face

Makeup doesn’t have to be complicated. With all of the contouring, baking, strobing, and other intimidating makeup trends we’re seeing everywhere these days, there’s one look that we think every woman needs to master—the five minute face.

Keeping it simple and using just a few products to enhance your natural beauty can still let you hit the snooze alarm while looking fresh faced throughout the day. I’m showing you how to master the 5-minute face using beauty products from Joe Fresh. The best part? The entire look costs less than $50. Keep scrolling below to see how to re-create the look without breaking the bank.

Step 1: Complexion Perfection

Start off by evening out the complexion with Joe Fresh Sheer Tint. Apply a pea-sized amount of product and blend in with your fingers, a brush or a sponge. I used the shade Bisque.

Step 2: Fast Flush

Add warmth and contour to the cheeks with Joe Fresh Blush, sweeping along the apples of the cheeks and back towards the hairline, softly blending downwards for a “starburst” effect. You can also lightly sweep some onto the temples, bridge of the nose and chin for a rosy glow. I used the shade Rose.

Step 3: Line Up

Define the lash line with the ultra-black Joe Fresh 8 HR Waterproof Kohl Eyeliner in Black. Trace the upper lashline, getting as close to the base of the lashes as possible. Thicken the line towards the outer corner of the eye and wing it out for a little more of a dramatic effect. You can use a cotton swab or a brush to slightly smudge the line for a softer effect.

Step 4: Lush Lashes

Pump up the volume and enhance the length of lashes with Joe Fresh Length Lash Mascara. Apply 1-2 coats on upper and lower lashes (or keep building for even more volume)!

Step 5: Luscious Lips

Finish off the look with Joe Fresh Mat Lipstick in the shade Ruby to add a pop of bold colour to the lips. Going for a classic red lipstick gives a polished look (even though it didn’t take much time)!

Finished

Glowing skin, flushed cheeks, defined eyes and a pop of red on the lips—a classic go-to look that looks polished but only takes 5 minutes. Try it yourself!
