BRONZING YOUR WAY TO SUCCESS

Everyone looks better with a sun-kissed glow. It’s a summer must! But instead of only lying out on your deck and soaking up some rays to get a golden shine, reach for your trusted bronzer instead. Below, the top bronzer tips to put your best face forward this summer.

Choose your shade.

Similarly to contouring and tantouring, choosing a bronzer shade two shades deeper than your skin tone will look the most natural. If you already have a bit of a tan, you may need to choose a deeper shade of bronzer to complement your skin and bring out more of your glow. Also, change up your foundation to a darker shade that matches your summer glow so that it looks seamless.

Choose your formula.

Cream, powder or lotion bronzer – which to choose? It’s really about personal preference, though powder bronzers tend to be the most popular, are easy to apply and offer an array of shades to choose from. For the most natural effect, choose a matte bronzer without any shimmer.

How to apply.

Using a blush or bronzer brush (which has tightly packed bristles and deposits more colour), apply a powder bronzer to the points on the face where the sun would hit: forehead, cheeks and jawline. In simpler terms, create the shape of the number three on both sides of the face by swiping on bronzer from the temples down to the cheekbones and across the jawline. Be sure to blend into the neckline to avoid any telltale demarcation lines.
