Brand to revamp internationally recognized anti-aging ranges and introduce innovative new skincare line to Canadian market

(TORONTO, ON): It began with a core philosophy of providing trusted beauty essentials to women seven days a week—77 years later, Boots No7 remains committed to delivering superior products made with expert care. To celebrate its 77th year in 2012, No7 announces the Canadian debut of a new product assortment in spring 2013, including an expansion and redesign of its renowned anti-aging ranges and an innovative new line of skincare products and treatments.

No7 shakes up the typical three-step daily skincare routine with the introduction of a new two-step skincare range for all skin types—No7 Beautiful Skin—that eliminates the need for a toner. In addition, the brand continues its focus on anti-aging with two new ranges for mature skin—No7 Lift & Luminate and No7 Restore & Renew—that include Day, Night and Eye Creams. No7 also celebrates by revealing a reinvigorated brand image with stylish new colour-coded packaging that makes it even easier for customers to find the products that best fit their needs.

Born in Britain in 1935, No7 launched with the appealing slogan, "The modern way to loveliness." Through the decades, the brand has continued to progress while always catering to its core consumer with products that help her feel good inside and out, seven days a week. Leveraging the brand's expertise in pharmaceutical-based healthcare and extensive consumer testing in skincare, No7 has become an essential and trusted brand for women all over the world.

"Since our national launch in 2007, we have seen tremendous brand loyalty and growth with the Canadian consumer," says Steve Lloyd, CEO of Boots North America. "It is our continued commitment to bring the latest in skincare research and development to offer consumers exactly what their skin needs. Through the much anticipated relaunch of No7, we are delivering skincare products for every stage of a woman's life and empowering her to feel good about her product purchase."

“As the exclusive retail destination for No7 in Canada since 2007, Shoppers Drug Mart looks forward to introducing Canadians to the brand’s new skincare ranges,” says Liesbeth Vandenberkmortel, Director Corporate & Exclusive Brands, HBA & Beauty, Shoppers Drug Mart. “The Protect & Perfect products remain top sellers in Canada, and we are thrilled to expand our No7 lineup with new anti-aging ranges for more mature skin, as well as introducing the No7 Beautiful Skin two-step regime for all ages and skin types.”

No7 Beautiful Skin is an innovative two-step cleansing and moisturizing system for all ages designed to shift daily skincare from the popular three-step routine by eliminating the need for a toner. Vitamin E, Vitamin C, a unique mineral blend and specialized ingredients help skin to maintain balance and look more healthy and radiant after 14 days. Catering to the specific needs of every woman, No7 Beautiful Skin's time-saving process is broken down into three skin types:

  • Normal/Oily
  • Normal/Dry
  • Dry/Very Dry

"Our research shows that consumers want their daily skincare process to be quick and effective," says Boots Scientific Skincare Advisor, Dr. Mike Bell. "No7 Beautiful Skin is designed to meet this need. It has been developed through the brand's proprietary scientific approach that combines technology with extensive consumer testing to help leave skin looking more radiant in just two weeks."

Presented in colour-coded packaging, No7 has created an easy-to-follow system that helps consumers identify the tailored skin nutrition they need based on individual skin type, eliminating confusion in the aisle. Beauty Advisors at Shoppers Drug Mart and Pharmaprix stores are expertly trained to provide personalized service and further assist with the product selection process in store.

Sleek, modern packaging across the entire No7 skincare range reflects the brand's commitment to changing with the consumer at every point in her life. No7 revamps the packaging of the brand's unique Regimen Boosts, Regimen Rescues, Daily Essentials and Problem Solvers & Treatments ranges—designed to provide extra attention against blemishes, shine, dry skin and the signs of aging. In addition, No7 introduces new products to these ranges such as the Vitality Eye Roll-On to diminish puffiness and dark circles, Clear Complexion Serum to help unblock pores, and the Lighten & Brighten Age Spot Corrector to soften the appearance of age spots and permanently fade them over time.

Continuing the ground-breaking science and success of the award-winning No7 Protect & Perfect and No7 Protect & Perfect Intense anti-aging ranges, the brand introduces No7 Lift & Luminate Day, Night and Eye Creams, targeting more mature skin (45-60) to help firm, brighten and visibly improve the appearance of wrinkles while protecting against new ones. Also debuting in 2013 is the No7 Restore & Renew range of Day, Night and Eye Creams to nourish and revitalize skin (60+) with a protecting formula that also targets dryness, skin discomfort and age spots.

No7's dramatic visual updates highlight an expanded range of products that look and feel better than ever, but have undergone the same rigorous testing and independent verification that women of all ages and skin types have come to expect from the brand. In Canada, No7 is available exclusively at Shoppers Drug Mart and Pharmaprix stores.
